Men's Club
The Or Shalom Men's Club is the men's fellowship organization at Or Shalom.
It holds monthly meetings from September through June, usually on the second
Sunday of the month. One meeting in the fall and one in the spring are devoted
to outdoor grounds maintenance.
Our monthly meetings (second Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m.) feature a bagel breakfast and a speaker, usually from the congregation. Subjects covered in recent talks have ranged from commercial weather forecasting to innovations in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. We are looking for speakers, so please contact Peter Stevens or Dave Walker if you have a suggestion.
The Men's Club also assists in constructing the synagogue sukkah in the fall and tackles small maintenance tasks around the synagogue. Once a year, we lead services for the Men's Club Shabbat.
Traditionally we sell Philadelphia area "Entertainment Books" as our primary fundraiser.
